THey pretended to be my bank stating a bank withdrawal in another city. THese people are bad news!!!

SUNTRUST SCAM CALL (Scam call) reported by Natalie
A lady came to my home today and left an envelope on my door with a letter inside saying it was urgent that I call a phone number and it had a reference number to use. I called the number and spoke to someone named Eric and was foolish enough to give them my social security number. He said he could not find anything with my name or social and I thanked him and hung up. At that time I looked up the phone number and saw what was being said by others. I called the police and made a report and am now in the process of calling the companies that I do have business with and luckily have a neighbor with cameras so that will be my next step. BEWARE of anyone leaving anything at your door, if you have business with a legit company they will send you what they need to in the mail.

Taped a letter to my door labeled ‘confidential’ inside was an orange slip telling me to call my mortgage company at this number. I know it’s a scam, it’s so obvious. And I can also tell that a lot of the reviews on here were made by the same person probably someone who runs the scam just leaving ‘suntrust bank’ and that’s it. It’s not a bank, they want to steal your mortgage account number (it says have the account number ready to give when you call). Stay clear

Confidental call SunTrust regarding mortgage (Scam call) reported by Carol L
Comes afternoon on Sunday. Doesn't ring door bell tapes envelope wit confidential hand printed (messy) on front. Inside xerox strip of paper sloppy hand written to call my mortgage company at the 800 number referenced herein. I call mortgage company on Monday. Am not late on payments and SunTrust says they are not affiliated. SCAM trying to get personal information from unwitting people. Have contacted the police. BEWARE!!!

Called about suspicious fraud activity that I reported earlier today on my debit card, caller asked if agent blocked my card and I responded no because they didn't so he stated they should have so he will and block my pin number as well, he sent a text from SunTrust with a code number and asked for the code and pin and said they will FedEx a new card in the morning, I hung up and immediately called SunTrust and they informed me that it wasn't them and charges were being charged to my account as we spoke in other states. She blocked the card and I am now receiving a slew of spam calls. Do not answer!
