Called me threatening to shut off my PG&E service within the next 30 minutes if I didn't pay my 'Past Due' bills for June and July (Side note - I just paid my August bill a few days ago) Confronted them and told them they could hang up now. They did.

It says press 1 to hear about it...so I pressed 1, then it sounded like a busy signal. So I hung up & called back...voice says to press extension, so I hung up. I called PG&E, cs says this is not their number.

Claimed to be PGE and were going to shut electricity service in 45 mins because 2 payments were returned. They had my correct address so they may have some public info on you.

SCAM for sure. They told me to deposit cash into a "partner" kiosk at a gas station.... in order for my service to not be shut off. Scary they did have information on me.

These people are seeking to get your credit card information by telling you that they will be shutting off your service within 30 mins. Do not listen further and hang up. FPL would only handle issues such as disconnecting service via MAIL on OFFICIAL STATEMENTS NOT over the phone. HANG UP AND BLOCK NUMBER USED TODAY WAS 1800-783-6731

A recorded voice claims my Florida Power & Light (FPL) account is delinquent. I am put on hold to speak to a "customer serivce rep.". After a brief wait a human picks up and says "Florida Power and Light," I ask, "You called me?" He hangs up. I call back and a recorded message says to dial the extension of a party.

Claimed I was 3 months past due on PG&E and power was being shut off. When I indicated I was current on payment and last statement showed no past due amount, she requested transaction number from bank for last payment. I gave her a "number" and she hung up on me. I assume she would have asked me for a credit card for payment if I had not pushed back.
