The other person on the other line had an Indian accent. He claimed that he could lower my interest rates on my credit card. I asked him, "what credit card." He then answered, "Your visa credit card." I then asked him, "what bank was that credit card issued?" After that he hung up.

I missed the calls today (1/22/2018), and my iPhone transcription failed, but enough of one message was recorded for me to determine that this was a telemarketing call: "Press 1 now, or the better rate will expire." I regard these calls as a nuisance because there were several of them, the object was to force a decision on a proposal that ought to be carefully considered, and on this site, there is evidence from others that the calling number belongs to a "boiler-room" operation.
