They sent an email to my brother claiming they were from the IRS and that he was due a refund. My brother forwarded a copy of it to us to see if it was a scam. The letter was full of spelling errors, grammar errors, and the language was uncomfortable when read aloud (they used words or phrases that native English speakers would not use).

Fake Disaster Loan Application (Telemarketer) reported by


Received an official "government" looking letter from U.S. Small Business Administration telling me my disaster loan application was withdrawn. Since I never applied for a disaster loan I called the number on the letter and was told the Loan Number referenced wasn't showing up. They were trying to gather more information from me so I hung up and put a block on their phone number. Later discovered this was not the correct government office number.

NEVER GIVE INFO to people calling you, you call them from the official website #. It's easy to SPOOF SBA #.. they are likely going to ask your SBA loan login and then go apply for loans in your name to pay to them. They are dirty scum-of-the-earth looting thieves who would eat babies for breakfast if they could get away with it.
