Claimed he was with P.G.&E. and my power was to be turned off (Scam call) reported by


We are a small business and received a call from a scammer claiming a crew from P.G. & E. was already dispatched to disconnect our power. I have the utilities on auto-pay, and had just received confirmation of payment that morning. So it so happened it was the wrong day for this scammer to call. Anyway, he pressed on and urged me to call this telephone number: 1-800-594-7730. I told him I would not, and hung up. 20 minutes later, out of curiosity, I telephoned the 800-number and it immediately went to an official sounding recorded greeting by P.G. & E. (If I were not suspicious, I might have believed it was P.G. & E. Watch out, these scammers are good at being bad.
