Fake invoice for a very expensive 999 dollar internet firewall (Scam call) reported by


Received a fake invoice stating that I had purchased a very expensive internet firewall/security product. Invoice 999 dollars to be collected from visa within seven days. No card number etc. Hoping I ring a number to ask questions or cancel. DefenderFirewallInc. Spelt Defander invoice heading. Can guarantee the number given will cost a fortune if called. Professional invoice at first glance. Mis-spelt company name in Header. DO NOT RESPOND to this scam. Check your credit debit cards....just in case.

I received the same email claiming I paid for DefanderPro (yes, this is how it was spelled)for $999 and to call a number to cancel. I called the number and a mail answered with a foreign accent. He said he would cancel the order but he needed to log in to my computer> I refused and he insisted he needed to log into my computer to cancel the order. I told him I did not order anything and I would call the authorities and hung up. ( By the way, I am a tech guy and I just wanted to see where this would lead, as I expected). It is best to block all emails and ignore the (fake) invoice they just want to get into your computer and steal information. Check your accounts!

Similar thing happened to me. Got an "order confirmation" via email saying that I had made a purchase of $999.99. Checked my bank account and credit card to see if there was any activity. There wasn't. I deleted the email and we're good to go. Sad that there's people out there scamming people for money in this way.

Received an email for an invoice for an order I never made . It said and I quote “ thank you for your recent order with us if you have any queries or want return for this order , Please call at tall free number : 1(800)-588-0612 . Thank You. Chief Executive Officer. Johnson, Kevin” printed off email . I did not order this this was unsolicited and is a scam !!!

Received an email thanking me for purchase of Internet Security program, indicating a cost of $699! Email claimed if wanted to cancel the purchase to call 1-800-588-0612. I never bought any internet security program and certainly would not for $699.

I had a receipt for $ 999.99 for iobit pro internet protection. I didn't call the number. Checked this side and saw other people also got similar mail. I deleted the e-mail and made sure no charges had accured
