Debt collector (Debt collector) reported by George g
The company called to tell me they had a personal business matter to discuss with me. The lady asked if I was the person and I confirmed it. She said she was with synergistic communication. The lady then wanted me to confirm the last four digits of my ssn and something else.. but I said not over the phone so she informed me that she would have to end the call, which I told her to proceed. And she did.

Called my 11 year old daughter (Scam call) reported by Brittany M
They called my 11 year old daughter about "fraud in her name". It's BS and I'm glad she's smart enough to not answer or call back these numbers.

I used to work in fraud prevention for Verizon and they will actually do that on occasion. I'm certain the person making the call (if legitimate), had no idea as to your daughter's age. It's possible that she was the victim of a previous scam, however. When I worked there in 2018 the going scam would be to call the target, masking their number using spoofing, and would make Verizon's customer service or fraud number appear. They would go so far as to record our calls, so they could create counter scripts when calling US! Anyway, they would usually give some spiel about fraud or something and at one point all to verify your account using a text code. It was against company policy to do that on OUTBOUND calls, as it was ONLY used to verify an inbound caller's authorization to place or verify an order. At that point, they would then employ the forgot password feature of Verizon's site in order to input the target number, which then sends an automated text to the person trying to reset their password. Customer thinks it's a verification code and gives it to the scammer then boom... all they have to do is use the temporary password you just gave them to create a new password, locking you out. They'll usually than proceed to place orders for the newest iPhones, all while changing your account info, address, etc. Oh and they can add sub accounts that may go unnoticed for YEARS, where you're unwittingly paying for someone else's phone AND service.
