Seems legit at first but they ask for all sensitive info. USAA will only need last 4 digits of social security. These guys literally ask for user ID, pin password and hack into your system. BE WARNED. ALL THE POSITIVE REVIEWS ARE SCAM REVIEWS HERE!

I received a text about fraud on my account. I logged in directly and found thousands of dollars of fraudulent charges. I called USAA directly, and they confirmed this number is not a scam. It is USAA fraud for credit cards. Not sure where these other reviews are coming from, but if you have any doubts, just call the main number and they'll confirm for you.

Received a text alert asking to authorize recent credit card activities. I replied NO and the next text said to call this number. I called and it sounded very much like a legitimate USAA call center and representative. The only thing she asked for was my USAA number or ID, and I gave my online ID. Then she asked for PIN, I hesitated but gave it since at least it wasn't a password. Then she asked for a security code that would be texted in a few seconds. I should've known at that point but didn't catch on (or ready the text with the security code that said USAA will never ask for it). Nevertheless, I gave her the code and she read off some of the transactions on my credit card and then said she would cancel that card and send me a new one. She thanked me for being a 24 year member with USAA and we hung up. Immediately afterward I got an email from USAA warning about fraud on the rise and I read again that they would never ask for logon information or PINs. So I then realized I was scammed and immediately logged on to my account and changed all my IDs and passwords and PINs an enabled MFA and all security alerts, which had been turned off (probably by the scammer). Hopefully that was enough to mitigate the security breach, but just beware, the scammers are extremely convincing. I have no idea how they have already have my password and credit card activity, but I guess they do. I also followed up on the original text alert by sending another message and I got an auto reply that said they dont understand my request and then gave a different number to call to discuss my account. For now on, I'll just stick with the main USAA number for everything

I got a text saying USAA ALERT: Please verify Credit Card Charges for your card: Date:13Oct Amt:$0.01 Where: THE STORE ON THOR WA Did you authorize this activity? Reply Y or N. If you reply with N, they'll sent another text to call this number 1-800-556-4146. Listen to the voice recording, you'll hear static and a quality of the automated voice recorder is different. I called the number, and I put in a FAKE PIN NUMBER and a female still answered the phone with the general USAA greeting. Her name is/was Tamiko. I gave her a fake name, but suddenly the call dropped on her end and went back to the recording. So please just watch out, listen intently and never give your PIN NUMBER.

I received a text that DHgate had charged two charges to my USAA Card that were declined and the text gave a number to call to verify that I wanted the charges declined. They also left a message on my phone. When I listened to it, I knew it all sounded very odd. So I called the real USAA phone number. They told me they had no record of declining any changes and that the number (800-556=4146) I provided them was NOT a USAA number. They also said they had other reports of this scam. I was going to buy a product online, USAA declined the payment because they had the URL blacklisted. Got a text stating that a charge had hit USAA and was it approved. I answered NO and got this number as a number to USAA Fraud. It is not an USAA number. I played the game and called, they most definitely are not USAA, they wanted login info, I offered my PIN but they tried to say that it wasn't enough in this situation. This is a scam.

USAA, Bank, (USAA.com), Fraud department is the most over reaching, overbearing program on the planet. they don't care about how much they inconvenience people unnecessarily, then don't even bother to follow up on possible frauds. there just is no worse policies nor programs of any type in any organization on Earth.

I received a Fraud alert for my USAA credit card. When CCenter employee answered he was laughing and finishing personal conv. he then put me on hold then returned and asked again for my name which I had already given him. He then asked for my phone log in, I repeated his question and he said yes your phone log in. I immediately hung up and called the number on the USAA website and Cindy pleasantly and professionally helped me out and canceled my card. She was perfect and empathetic to my circumstances. Give her a raise and have her train all others that may not be so great to provide the best quality assistance that we as USAA members expect and receive.
