This is a place named ERC Collections. When I answered the phone, the first thing she said was "Do you live at :my address:?" And I refused to answer the question. She did not identify herself, give her company name, or reason for her call. I don't just give random people my address. She refused to tell me her info I mentioned above or who she was even looking for without my address first. I hung up on her after going back and forth with her for a few mins, as her audacity and extremely bad attitude really irritated me. I only got the name, ERC Collections, when I called the number she called from after I hung up. I still don't know if they're even looking for me or not, as we remain at what I call a "refuse to indulge any info" standoff. YOU called ME. YOU want ME to do something for you, give you information, and/or pay you money immediately on this same phone conversation. Therefore YOU will identify yourself to ME first. At least ask for me by name. And she was extremely rude. She was offended I refused to answer her address request "greeting" immediately. I feel like they bully people into giving them info and paying them.

It says it's a recorded line when you pick up the phone and they ask you addresses if you live there. If you don't verify your addresses they ask for your last four of your Social. But cannot tell you in regards to the company they're calling on behalf of or what it is in regards to

The lady asked for me by name. I said this is her. Then she asked if I still reside at (inserted address) then I said yes. Then she asked if I could give her my last 4 digits of my social. I kept asking her who was asking. She said ERC. I asked who is ERC. She said something financial services. And I asked what this was regarding and she refused to tell me unless I give her my last 4 of my social. Then she said my last 4 then asked me to confirm. I told her I will not be confirming or denying anything unless I know who I am talking to because that is my personal information. Then she told me then she has to end this call. I said ok. Goodbye. I can’t forgire out who the heck it would be if it’s a bill collector. All my bills are up to date and I haven’t had anything for over 7 years that someone would be coming after me for. All I know is she had a nasty attitude. How dare I not give her my personal info without knowing WHO I was giving it to
