Called asking for maiden name. My married name is on my insurance card. Called customer service for Blue Cross afterwards, and they verified this is NOT one of their phone numbers.

Called 3 days in a row, answered once. (Silent call) reported by


They called 3 days in a row, but always while I’m at work. When I finally answered, it was silent, and after saying “hello?” a few times, they hung up. Calling “after-hours” (6pm) an automated voice stated it was a nurse line, to call my healthcare provider, and hung up.

Got a call from this number. She didn't have the professional/rehearsed/automaticly friendly tone of someone that called people often. She asked if this was a good time to talk and I said no. She seemed very thrown off and continued through her script anyway, telling me they were calling to offer help on my forms (personal info). I again said it was a bad time. Instead of asking when a good time to call back was (telemarketer 101), she awkwardly told me I could call them back at that number or the number on the back of the card. Really suspicious imo.
