Received a fraudulent, seemingly authentic emergency text message from our P.S.E.&G. L.I. indicating our electric is scheduled to be shut off for non payment. With this call was a option to press the number 2 key to be connected to a customer service representative, which then connects you to 1-800-490-0025. A person came on the line once connected and impersonated electric company personnel, stated the account is overdue, and unless we make a payment the electric to our house was scheduled to be shut off. When payment was refused at that time, the person offered his direct line 1-800-748-4416 to call him back to make a payment.

Call leaves a call back number, when I called they have FPL's recording but when I hit 0 for a rep I was immediately connected to a person. These calls ask for you SS# to confirm accounts. DO NOT ANSWER, DO NOT CALL BACK.
