Not Capital One. Scam to get your credit card number (Scam call) reported by


Warning! SCAMMERS. Called me over and over not leaving a message. If they call from 1-800-481-3239 it’s NOT Capital One. That number is the number customers use to call Capital One not the other way around. They told me that someone tried to use my card for thousands of dollars. The Indian guy INSISTED that I fix the problem by giving him my credit card number, and NOT call Capital One myself. He even “transferred” me to his “supervisor”. Called himself “Jonathan Liboro”? The only thing that was keeping me from hanging upon him was that he called from the real Capital One customer service number BUT if the real Capital One did call me they WOULD NOT CALL from that number. So I followed my gut and hung up and called the real Capital One and sure enough my account was fine. Got a new card for extra peace of mind. So friends who have a Capital One account be aware that this is happening. After all was confirmed with the real Capital One, the scammers had the nerve to call again saying He was from the Capital One Security department. Nope.

I called this number off Capital One’s site for customers in Canada. Phone number was listed on their site. Asked for CC number & DOB & name but I called them, not vice versa & as said was found under their “Contact Us” part of the site. 10/06/2021 is when I made the call @ night as their online chat wasn’t available due to how late it was but was never asked for a password & the guy seemed to be able to solve my issue.

I called the phone number on the back of my CC and they confirmed that there were no special offers at this time.

this is absolutley correct and I have reported this caller to the fraud departement at capital one. They are not capital one. DO NOT give them any information even if they claim they already have it.

WARNING!! This company is a scam. They use robo calls and although we block the numbers the phone company said they are using an app that allows them to put any number in. BEWARE the IP address is being investigated. They are Nigerian and trying to get your credit card and personal information

Man that's pretty racist. The lady that called me said her name was Susan. What makes you think Susan is Nigeria? Or even has black? Oh...the riots. Well yes that is understandable...and no I cant tell you why it's only one ethnic group who acts out buy stealing and lighting stuff that doesnt belong to them on fire....maybe they are the only ones who ever experience oppression....oh well no Jewish people didnt. Or Irish. Or Armenian, or Italian, or Mexican, or Japanese.... Well maybe its not as bad! I mean....well no not any gas chambers but....ok fine. You win. I guess racism is wrong. But not necessarily incorrect. Thanks i learned a lot. Maybe this is the National conversation we need to have. One thats not so much about skin color but one that's about culture and character.
