Missed the call and called the number back. Phone msg promts for your Credit Card number - but doesn't say what bank/card they're referring to. It then asks for your social security number. After not answering any of these I was transferred to a representative and when I asked her what "bank or card" she replied we service many banks and financial institutions... SCAM!!!

It's a legitimate number (https://www.google.com/search?q=800-423-75xx), used by multiple banks for their Customer Service (you can check the legitimacy of those bank websites using https://research.fdic.gov/bankfind/ or if it's a credit union, try https://mapping.ncua.gov/ResearchCreditUnion.aspx instead, but https://www.depositaccounts.com/blog/2009/09/credit-union-members-beware-your-credit.html explains why you might not find it a credit union - it might use private insurance instead of NCUA insurance,) which is probably why they don't give the bank name. *** HOWEVER, it is actively being SPOOFED by "lower your rate" scammers calling their victims. Number calles when answered its a moment of silence then hangs up. Call back and an automated voice says to enter my 16 diget card number or press a number to report a lost card. I finally get to an operator and she says its a bank and they dont call out with that number. Beware
