Offering a price drop on directv in conjunction with ebay. Said, (Scam call) reported by


Caller claimed to be with Directv offering monthly discount, but must pay first 5 months in advance with an ebay gift card. Caller stated this was an agreement between Directv and ebay. Said I should buy gift card for $349.95 from local stores and than call a phone number (888.691.1225 ex 1) and they gave a code (CXDTZV417) and to ask for billing and promotions,to pay for that service.

Said he (foreigner) was with Att Customer Service and I was receiving a $99.00 rebate toward my bill. He needed to verify my ATT Pin. I said No. He then proceeded to try to verify last four digits of SSN (which was incorrect) and when I said no not my number he said Yes we have all information on you and proceeded to name my husband's name and my children. Asked for my ATT Pin again and when I was firm with another "NO". He hung up!! Sick of the calls
