I only answer cause it was the third time he had tried to call me that night so you can tell it wasn't a machine. He claims to be from AT&T but he isn't, he is trying to log in in your account so he needs that pin number to log in from his side to get all your information. DON'T GIVE THEM THE PIN. I didn't gave him anything and he hang up, I call AT&T my self and found out that they didn't make the call for any means they also confirmed that the phone numbers are same except for the 0400 they have a different one.

Stated that they are with Verizon and would be working in the area to update the lines to 4G etc. Sent a text to my phone and wanted the confirmation number from the text. With the confirmation text they change your account password. I called Verizon Customer Service and the service representative stated that it was a scam caller.

Called confirming my name, address and phone numbers on my account and said I would lose service for 30 mins the next morning and they were offering me a $20 credit.At the end he said he sent me a text and needed the PIN number to leave the note in my account.

At the end he said he sent me a text and needed the PIN number to leave the note in my account. I refused and he continued to insist and I said I would call 611 directly and hung up. The text from ATT was to 'complete my ATT log in'

This number is scarily close to ATT's # 1-800-331-0500 in order to attempt to legitimize. They call my mom and said they were upgrading the network and her cell service would be off for 30 minutes the next day and they were offering $30 credit to her bill for the trouble and just needed her to provide the pin they were sending to her phone. Proceeded to add themselves as an authorized used to her account and attempted to get phone upgrade at Costco. Changed the billing address, passcode, etc. Operating in Pleasantville, ...
