Heavy foreign accent calls me on my recently acquired business landline middle of afternoon says he represents AT&T billing and that they made error on my account and would be sending me an adjustment of $29. Then they start trying to "verify" information all of which they already had, which is public information in phone book, my phone #, my name, my address. I thought it was legitimate for a minute, but then they said they would be sending a representative out to personally deliver the refund to me--no company does that. So I asked for supervisor--the guy calls his buddy named "Alex" over who answers the same phone line with "hello" and the other guy can still be heard in background. No "Hello, this is Alex from ATT, how may I assist you." Anyway, they gave me this 800 325 7894 number as the number to call--which I WILL NOT CALL because that is exactly what they want me to do. They also gave out this bogus Invoice #, which I will not list here, but its 8 digits + 4 alpha + 4 more digits + 3 alpha. The caller ID information on my phone read unknown 000-000-0000, which I didn't catch at first because this is a business line in which I must answer all calls as potential customers.
