I thought this was a scam when I first started getting calls from them as well. The number does not appear on the website as a Chase number and even their internal fraud department did not recognize it and told me it was spam. But the banker I work with at my local branch recognized it and was able to tell me what they were calling about. Chase really needs to do better to make sure their numbers don't look so phishy to customers.

Scam call - not chase. Call came in under 855-777-9xx. I did not recognize so did not answer. They did not leave a message. Second call they left a voice mail - said they were chase bank. guy spoke super fast, hard to hear his name and left 800-246-11xx as number to call back. Sounded totally sketchy. Scammer
