Didn't answer initial call, but checked online acct and saw a couple charges pending that I knew weren't from me. I called back and had to cancel card. Was the real deal. Noticed a few people here say it was a scam and it could be that they received a spoofed call. They only asked for my last 4 of SS# and my security question.

It was their fraud dep. I called the number on the back of my card to verify it. They were letting me know of a suspicious charge trying to go through. I got the charge blocked and any future potential charges from that company blocked.

The caller asked for my full credit card number. (Credit one will only ask for last for) Also asked for full SS# (Credit One will only ask for last four) I called Credit One Directly and they verified that this is NOT one of their numbers. They also advised this is a known phishing scam claiming to be them. Do not answer calls from them. Do not return calls from them. Avoid this number. Only call Credit One by using the phone number on the back of your card, period.

Received a text asking to confirm a purchase. I replied N meaning I did not authorize the transaction. It texted back and said to call 800-225-8300. I looked at my online account and did not see pending charge. The number did not match the 800 numbers on my card or their website. I did not call them. This is a fraud. Also I noticed in their text the last four digits of my credit card they listed did not match my card. This is a total fraud. Be careful people.

I received a call and a text from the fraud department of Credit One Bank. They asked for my full account number or my ss #. I told her I would call the bank directly and get it straightened out. I went online to my statement and called the number to report a stolen or lost card. I spoke with a gentleman who read the same two fraudulent charges and then cancelled the card and is sending me a new one. So it was a legitimate call. Too bad in this day we have to question every call we get.
