First he pretended to be calling someone else, then when I said he had the wrong number, he said "well, perhaps then you can help me." And proceeded to try to get donations for some police group. I am quite certain this is a scam.

Spam call: Here's the script after I've answered: "Hello, is Frank there." Me: "I'm sorry, I think you have the wrong number." Caller with a slightly southern accent: "Well then maybe you can help me. I'm calling from the National Fallen Officers Association and we are looking to you for support for officers who have fallen in the field...." more garbage...then "so, if I was to send you a package today could I count on you for support?" Me: "So is it part of your script to call and ask for a random person hoping to engage someone in conversation." Caller: "Well I don't under...we thank you for your time..." and then he hung up on me. I called the number back and it goes to 'The Fundraising Center.' I really hope they don't take advantage of anyone. This kind of thing is so immoral-how are these people even part of the species?
