Said his name was Alan but it clearly wasn't. When informed the person he was asking for didnt lived there he immediately said thank you and hung-up. Probably a debt collector or call center.

call came in on 10/3/16. when answered, a person with a middle eastern accent, asked for a person not living here. when informed of such, he started spelling out the name. after again informing him that there was no such person living here, he decided to list my phone number as wrong number. by asking for a person, sounds like a collection agency

This number must be part of the range of numbers dedicated to the same call center - I can see more similar numbers of the same range 71928005xx reported already, mostly with credit card scammers. In the case of this number they left no message, no idea who is behind it? People please did someone answer it? I really don't answer unknown numbers and don't want to call them back, trying to dig some info about this number on internet first...
