An aggressive older sounding woman with a rough voice identifying herself as "Lisa Jones" called my sister, a friend of mine, and me saying that a "claim" was filed against me and to call a number to be connected to a law firm. In California a voicemail does not count as a legal form of notification of a lawsuit. A real law firm would leave a specific name and number and would also first notify you in writing by mail or serve you papers from a licensed process server. When I looked up the number it came up as a retractable awning company in Anaheim, CA. This is an an aggressive illegal scam.
