How to handle a scammer (Scam call) reported by


I got the automated call and spoke to three people. The first one was rude so I called back to glean more info on them. I finally got to a "senior associate" who I started to prod for info and slowly extracted it. The guy got angry at me when I refused to provide my credit card. He didn't ask what vehicle I wanted to insure. I told him I was reporting him, he said, "take your best shot." I said, "Challenge accepted." They are located at the following address: 1181 S State Rte 157 Edwardsville, IL 62025 They are calling themselves "APG" because it is on the building outside. It's actually a physicians office and the landlord was desperate for renting out a few offices on the 1st floor and rented to these guys. Oddly enough they defaulted on rent down the street. Here's how I fixed the issue: 1. I called the physicians office and the office manager confirmed they have this as an on-going problem. 2. I supplied all the details including the audio recording. 3. I provided my lawyer's info so they can file in the State of Illinois for these guys operating without a business license. 4. I provided the previous place they rented the new address and phone numbers of the people that skipped out. 5. Reported it to the State Corporate Commission and the licensing boards. 6. Updated the BBB with the information as well. round one. Can't wait for round two.
