They left a voice mail stating it was a call from a prison inmate. As i don't know anyone in prison, it's either a scam or some prison dialed the wrong number

Yes, it's a prison call. Not a scam. Maybe someone dialed the wrong number, but my husband is incarcerated and this is definitely a CDCR number.

Number is from Texas but claims to be calling from a San Diego correctional facility. I don't know anyone in San Diego so it's obviously a scam. Also got two calls after saying they couldn't charge these calls and to add money to some account. Big red flag.

"Pine grove correctional camp." Don't know anyone there who would be calling me at 9PM on a Saturday night. Judging by the high spam reports I'm gonna assume this is some scam to get ppl to pay for collect calls.

Not A Scam if you stay on the line the person who is trying to reach you should state their name if you know and want to answer pick up if not click its where inmates that are locked up use to call but you have to pay to talk to them unless they get a free call the service provides I believe for all prison in US and call is monitored

I answered, a robot woman answered then they hung up mid sentence (Robocall) reported by


I answered this call from Texas, a robot woman answered and said "this is a voice message from the place of" valley something I couldn't understand the call it kept cutting off then a different voice (a manly voice) said the name Daryl I think? After that the woman started talking again and then they suddenly hang up, I keep seeing that this number is from a prison facility or something, idk anybody called Daryl or anybody in prison so I blocked the number.
