Scam Call (Telemarketer) reported by

We (A company from Germany) had a call from +1 708-406-5767. Due to problems with the connection I could understand the person very poorly. The call came through our central phone number and was transferred to me. The caller asked for my cell phone number, which I did not give him. I don't know what he wanted, but he didn't call back after the second attempt. Looks like a scam call, because we have no business connections in the USA to Illinois.

Scam call (Scam call) reported by

A man with a very strong Indian accent called and claimed to be collaborating with our research on COVID-19 vaccines. He said that his company was called Joshe International and that his name was Mr. Henderville, which doesn't sound very Indian. I took his information and checked this website which confirmed my suspicion that this was a scam, industry espionage call.

Scam "AUDIT" (Scam call) reported by

A man with a very strong Indian accent called our Belgian office, asking about one of our VP's, located in the US. He said it was for an audit on the supply chain/logistics team. That he needed the information asap or his report would be late. He then asked my name, so he could report it to his supervisor as to why his report was late

Tried to get my mobile no. fora "private & confidential" parcel.. (Scam call) reported by

Man with a strong Indian accent called our main company number asking to be put through to me about a "private and confidential" delivery that he had for me and which he could deliver within the hour but he needed my number to be able to track that before he could made the delivery. He gave a courier company name that I didn't recognise. Didn't make sense to me so asked who the sender was, for which he could give an area and a company name (after a bit of back and forth so he was clearly looking something up). He managed to mention a company that I am associated with (but no name) but it still did not ring true - therefore just to say - beware of their capacity to hit lucky and mention a person or company you know. I told him that I wasn't comfortable sharing my contact details for something I wasn't expecting and that surely he could manage to use the main office number. 2 minutes later, he called the main office number back trying to get my number again and of course the was refused the number (little did he know that I and the person answering the main number sit a few desks away from each other!!). Needless to say, no parcel turned up ..... quelle surprise!! Here are the giveaways 1. You get private and confidential deliveries through the post / other delivery mechanisms without folks calling you up trying to get details from you i.e., this is not normal practice, 2. If you aren't expecting anything that would come via a courier - ask questions and get them to give you evidence that would satisfy you of the legitimacy. 3. Even if they get lucky and mention a place, name or company you know just think - does a delivery marked up in this way make sense? Would they send something like this without giving you a heads up? Were you expecting anything from them etc. Overall, if you weren't expecting it and it doesn't immediately feel right - give them nothing!!!

Trying to get company org details (Unsolicited call) reported by

Indian accented woman calling saying that she is from a digital marketing agency working with one of the team's in my company and that she lost her lap top and needed information for a presentation happening in 30mins at my company. She asked me to help her look up the org structure on the internal directory (direct reports of a certain person + phone number). Clearly her intention was to get information about the internal org structure of the company. When she pressed for more information and i refused, she hung up.

Oak Park IL US (Scam call) reported by

Answered the call. Spoke to a telemarketing sounding Indian who knew my name and one of my colleagues. Also a company we contract too. Asked questions about my role and my colleagues. Very strange and then then she hung up on me when I got frustrated with her. Silly me, looked up the number and hey presto....Scam for sure.

Seeking number for employee I do not and never have had (Scam call) reported by

Person who gave a clearly fake name insisted that a person named X Y worked for me but he could not find the number and would I please give the number? When I explained that I had never had an employee by that name, the caller kept going from a script that I should look in my global directory. Obviously a scma call from Mulix Inc (I got that out of the caller). This had an "Out of Area" caller ID but I am reporting this since the caller said he worked for Mulix Inc.

Parcel/courier for me (Scam call) reported by

Called it back as I work with US based teams. They seem to have gained access to my phone data in doing so. They managed to mask their phone number using my company switchboard and called me. I assumed it was my company’s internal mail when they said they had a parcel for me. Gave my personal contact details. Received a call shortly on my personal Mobile from this number making me realise I was scammed.

Phishing for info (Scam call) reported by

Guy from Mulix International called claiming to have spoken to someone in the company who told him to meet with our CEO direct reports. Supposedly looking for a joint venture (for who knows what) and also claimed to be a chief executive (again of who knows what.) He gave me a local number to call back but that makes no sense when you're calling from abroad. The details he had were clearly found on our website, so definitely was phishing. SCAM.

phishing scam call (Scam call) reported by

Caller had name of another colleague in another city -.Fake apologized for calling me by accident. Wanted me to transfer me to the other person, or give them the colleague's phone #. Said their email address wasn't working. Didn't like my suggestion of an alternate email. Wanted me to transfer their call. Very pushy. I couldn't understand their name or their company, despite asking MULTIPLE times. They called almost every phone in our office.

Phishing Call (Scam call) reported by

Call came in from (708) 406-5767. The individual asked to speak with a senior member of our firm, and said his name was Ricky Obain with Mulix Investments and he can be reached at (954) 847-2298. When I pressed why he was calling, he said it was about audit reports. He then asked for another member of the firm who is a temp. Indian accent with the name Ricky Obain, calling from IL and provide a number from FL - classic Phishing call
