SCAM LIKELY (Scam call) reported by


DO NOT ANSWER CALLS FROM THIS NUMBER !!! We received a call from this number and it showed up on our cell phone at the top of a dark grey screen with the words "SCAM LIKELY" displayed directly below the number. I did some research, first I called Ally Bank since there are several references to Ally here on these posting boards. Ally did not initiate the call. Second, I contacted Metro PCS (cell phone provider) and was able to verify the dark grey screen and the alert "SCAM LIKELY" is coming from a group of associated cell phone providers. Apparently the cellular companies have a system that identifies number that have been previously found to be scam related activity. The dark grey screen on our cell phone along with the information show on it are intentionally sent by the cellular companies to warn customers the calling number has been associated with recent scam activity. I also learned that if you get this same kind of message on your cellular phone and wish to take these calls anyway that METRO PCS can disable this customer warning feature for you cell phone. All you need to do is call them and speak with their technical support staff. NOW YOU KNOW THE WHOLE STORY BEHIND THIS PHONE NUMBER !!!
