This person often changes their name online (it seems), but sent me an email with the name of Vivek Kumar and the email [email protected]. He sent me a job offer and said he found my resume on Indeed with the extremely vague job offering of "College Student Worker" and had some grammatical errors/inconsistencies in the email sent. This email also said there was a job offering near the location of my resume, but after Googling the company (US Tech Solutions) and looking it up on Google Maps, it was clear that no such company/building exists in the state posted on my resume, and no job title matched his email as well. It was also clear this scammer copied specific and vague things from my resume to try to lure me into thinking I was the perfect match for the job (little did he know the resume I uploaded contained fake information). After looking up the company and trying to call the company to see if this was an actual employee/recruiter at the company, nobody answered after multiple attempts and the call kept going to voicemail. Most people who try to contact you (opposed to you contacting them) about a job offer are scammers, do not respond to them before researching extensively/calling the company to make sure someone is legit.

I have received emails from the same person... I do not put much of my personal information on my resume, as I know job sites have HUGE scam issues going on.. I tell people, the only info they need to know about you off the bat is your 1st name, your City/State/Zip, and your email address. Nothing else is needed unless they think you will be a good fit. At that point they can email you, and you can check them out and decide if they are legit. Check the info for the person, and company CAREFULLY, before you give them anything. Unfortunately, * companies, and criminals have figured out how to take4 advantage of desperate people who need a job, and will give them anything to try and secure one. There are companies in other states that do recruit for local companies, for jobs that are not posted online anywhere, because the hiring company does not want to deal with any resume crap. But, you need to research the company personally. I was contacted by an out of state company for a large local company here. And I emailed the company here directly and asked them if the company that contacted me was authorized to represent them. The recruitment company was verified, so I sent them my resume. If they do not want to give you the name of the company they are recruiting for, then be suspicious of them.
