Multiple calls from same number (Call centre) reported by


Have gotten three calls from the same area codes (631, 914), but caller id shows a local number- these came to my polycomm phone which records the caller id. Called back the first time and he said he never called- They all want quotes on work but are just scamming, not sure what their end game is but i blocked all these calls as we don't even do business in NY.

Male named 'Tyler' left a voice message requesting a quote for a local City. We are a roofing corporation. The background noise was very loud, like a movie on in the background or someone calling from an High School Pep Rally. The caller id phone number was a local number, but the number he left was (631) 856-5430. Weird. I called back and left a message, his outgoing voicemail message had the same loud background noise.

Received two cls from this #, Monday and today. left message- "This is Marvin, I am needing some services in this area, please call 631-856-5630. I looked it up and its a New York #. I can hear other conversation in the background. I am assuming it is a scamming call center.

The caller ID said that a number in my area code was calling. This number had called me before and not left a message, so I did not answer. This time they left a message wanting to know if my construction company can take on some additional work. Instead of the spoofed number in my area code, he left 631-856-5630. I found the number here, so I did not call back. I get these calls all the time from companies that sell leads to contractors. My guess is that this is what it is, but I'm not calling back to find out. I will just continue not to answer the spoofed number.

Called twice and left the same message both times saying they are looking for an audio/video contractor but my business doesn't do that. Can hear people in the background probably making similar calls.
