"Medicare shipping" scam (Scam call) reported by


The Texas Senior Medicare Patrol has received several complaints about Medicare scam calls from 619-819-28xx The LIVE male caller says that he is calling from “Medicare shipping.” THIS IS A SCAM. MEDICARE WILL NEVER CALL YOU. Report these scams to the Federal Trade Commission (https://www.ftccomplaintassistant.gov), Medicare Office of the Inspector General (https://oig.hhs.gov/fraud/report-fraud/index.asp) and your state's Senior Medicare Patrol (1-877-808-2468, or https://www.smpresource.org). DO NOT GIVE OUT YOUR MEDICARE OR SOCIAL SECURITY IDS. Check your Medicare Summary Notices (MSNs). If you see that Medicare has been billed for a brace or other durable medical equipment or prescriptions that neither you nor your doctor has ordered, report that information immediately to your state's Senior Medicare Patrol (1-877-808-24xx, or https://www.smpresource.org).

Two days before the phone calls, my parents were fitted for orthopedic braces. The company who works directly with Medicare told them that they may receive phone calls saying that they need the measurements again and possiblly their Medicare Card Number (WHICH SHOULD NEVER BE GIVEN OUT OVER THE PHONE) that they are scam calls. Forward two days later, Before 8 in the morning they were harassing my mother for measurements and “verification” for my parents Medicare Card Number, which she didn’t give and hung up. Later that afternoon, they called again, this time to speak to my father, asking the same questions, measurements and card numbers. He too hung up on them. I asked my dad for the phone and looked up the number on the caller ID, 619-819-2825. I called the number and immediately got a disconnection tone, then I GOOGLED the number to find out, that this indeed was a scam! PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE DO NOT GIVE OUT ANY ACCOUNT NUMBERS OVER THE PHONE! These people are the scum on your shoe who are trying to STEAL what you have worked your entire life for. THEY WOULD RATHER STEAL FROM PEOPLE WHO WORKED 40 PLUS HOUR DAYS FOR 40 PLUS YEARS, THEN TO EARN AN HONEST LIVING AND WORK FOR IT!

Medicare Scam offering Orthopedic items (Scam call) reported by


Middle Eastern man called me asking if I received my new medicare card. I didn't asking him what address did you send it to and he read off my address. He started offering me orthopedics and I stopped him right there. I said well this is a scam call as, I would not have my work cellphone number on any paperwork he would have. He stammered and said your work phone number is listed on the info. Then I asked him for his phone number. He seemed a little surprised. He gave it to me quickly and hung up. I am not about to be scammed by anyone Especially Middle Eastern jerks. The number he gave me was this: 1-800-216-6678 I already had this number in my phone as someone called me from this number earlier. Another scam call from JP Morgan Chase Bank Japanese speaking woman recorded message scam call. I dialed the number after getting off the phone and I heard the same JP Morgan Chase Bank message so I hung up. Just now I got another call. He was also a middle eastern man who started in on the medicare line and I told him you already called me today with this baloney. Then I hung up on him. His number is 213-675-6347 my phone shows call from Boyne City, Michigan and is the same number used here in so many other calls. This is the 3rd time today so I am ready to kick some rear ends. If I had a way to stop them I would do it. Just let me know.

I hadn't seen mine, or the other people's notes, I Said, "I don't feel comfortable talking to you." and hungup. BAD NEWS!! D.O. N.O.T. S.A.Y. ***"YES"***!!!!!
