She asked if my name is (name listed in phone book). I could KICK myself for saying "Yes" and hope it wasn't one of those "record your voice saying "Yes" scams!!" I immediately hung up.

Called about my non existing security system that they said was over 3 years old. Told her my security system is a 150 lb Rottweiler.

Caller knew my name and said she was calling from GE / Honeywell and that according to their records my security system was more than 3 years old. When I asked what records she was referring to...CLICK...she hung up. Caller ID only read "Ohio Caller."

Caller said he was with my home alarm company "Honeywell" ( I don't have a Honeywell system). Said he needed me to update my security codes and he would help me with the update. I lied and said I had just recently replaced my system and it was no longer with "Honeywell" (never was) and it didn't need any dates since it was just installed.... he was at a lost for words and said he would verify my file and call back later. I called my provider and they verified they were not calling customers for updates.
