Just to clear up some confusion. Yes, Comcast will call you. I used to work for them. So I'm not sure why people say Comcast will not call, that is incorrect. This was different though. I believe it is someone claiming to be with Comcast, but is not. He did not follow proper procedure and didn't know what he was talking about.

Supposedly the caller was with COMCAST. Very,very thick accent. So bad I could barely understand what he was saying. I answered a few questions, then hung up on him as I was researching the phone number while he was mumbling about internet services.

A guy with a thick accent said he could lower my comcast bill. I already called comcast the day before regarding my service. When I told him, he claimed he had some promotion which would involve adding more services. I hung up. I find it strange that over the years, everytime I call Comcast to update my service, I get this solicitor call a day or 2 later offering some sort of promo. They need to stop selling our info.

Answered call. The man knew my name and said he was calling in behalf of Comcast. I pretended to only know Spanish and hung up.

Called and said he could lower my bill; knew the exact amount I paid 5 days ago; said he could "lower" my amount but it actually increased it by $4 and said my internet would be 'unlimited' instead of 600MB. I finally hung up after researching the number.

I answered, and someone with a thick Indian accent asked if he was speaking to me (he knew my name). He then started to mention some kind of services but I could not understand what he said due to a rustling sound on the other end. I hung up after I realized that he was talking about some kind of service.
