Nationwide Credit Corporation (Debt collector) reported by


I recieved a call from 571-458-1189 at 1357 on 07AUG20 from someone who called me by name (first name only) and said they were calling on behalf of the City of Virginia Beach with the Nationwide Credit Corporation, the NCC and that this call was being recorded for quality assurance purposes and that the city had a urgent legal matter involving my vehicle and that for security reasons, they needed to verify they were speaking with the correct indivudual before the would discuss the legal case involving my car. She then said she was looking at a list and was about to ask if my vehicle was the make and modle of... and then stopped and asekd me to verify the last 4 of my social security number before proceeding with the information of the case. I imediately told them that that information was not something I discused over the phone and if they have information about my car, then I asked her to tell me what year my car was and that I have not lived in Virginia for the last 7 years. She was quiet for a moment and then finally said "well you have a nice day ma'am" and immidiately hung up. I have gotten this same call about 3 times in the last 2 years. It has SCAM written all over it.

Received a quite diminish call about a vehicle I no longer own. They asked the same questions mentioned above. I ended the call informing them. I no longer have that car. They seem to be Phishing.
