Caller said he was from my internet provider (Scam call) reported by


Caller had a strong accent and said he was from my internet provider. He wanted me to give specific information about my computer. He offered a call back number supposedly for his supervisor. I refused to cooperate and finally hung up. I said I would verify his identity with my company before dealing with him. Don't even talk to these people. Your internet provider would contact you by email. I suspect that he wanted to verify my computer hardware and or hack in for nefarious purposes.

"Windows Support" to fix "computer errors" (Scam call) reported by


The usual scam that they have received errors from my computer and they walk you through how to see the errors in the Event Viewer, and he wants me to give him $50 (and probably access to the computer once it gets that far) to clear the errors. I stalled him for a while, then told him I would have to talk to my roommates about it and he gave me this number as a callback number (the original Caller ID showed "Unavailable"). DO NOT GIVE THESE PEOPLE ANY INFORMATION, MONEY OR ACCESS TO YOUR COMPUTER!

According to the individual on the phone my computer which he cannot identify its operating system sent out an error message saying that it's infected with a virus and that I need to go to the computer and turn it on in order for him to help me fix it. They say that they work with Microsoft however two completely different numbers are what's going on he gave me a 516 number which is on the New York but it was a 318 number that came up on my phone
