Credit Card Scam with webite (Scam call) reported by Anon
Text message from 513-987-9122 which read "Your phone number (my number) must be verified as a result of the last transaction on your card. Visit www.wlsgo.cf and check the details." I visited the website and it brought up a page that looked like it was from Wells Fargo. I knew it was a scam right off the bat. First, I do not have a Wells Fargo account so I was immediately relieved. Second, it asks for very specific information in full. Full CC number; Full SS number; Full Pin. Third, the notifications I receive from my actual bank are texts asking me to call them... no phone number was given here or on that website. Fourth, the website shows Copyright 2016, we're halfway through 2017. Bottom line, do not click on any link you do not know from a random phone number. If you want to verify for yourself, call up your bank directly or log in directly to your banks website.
