Scam call reported by Cami Jones
Got a very disturbing call from "so called attorney John Anthony, trying to call my sister, but called me as an emergency contact, saying that my sister had several charges and there was a warrant out for her arrest. Also saying she had committed check fraud and bank fraud. I called her and her husband both to alert them about the call. They called me back and said it was a scam! How in the HELL are people getting that info when it isn't even true?!

Another of those scam calls, telling you that you or someone you know has felonies that have just come across the desk of "Attorney Shawn Davis" this morning. I've received these types of calls before. They threaten to issue a warrant for whoever to be picked up today unless you can pay that person's fines or whatever money they supposedly owe. When I googled Shawn Davis the only attorney I found was a disbarred one from Michigan. Hang up, people, nothing to see here.

Yes I got a call yesterday from a Phillip T. K.. Saying it was about a loan I took out and I was going to be charged with fraud. He had the whole spiel down and sounded official until he started saying things that didn't make sense. Still he scared me and said he could settle out of court before anything is filed but not before I did send 500.00. I know stupid and I should have known better but I was so caught off guard I thought I just wanted to be done with it. When I got home I did some research and I looked up the Texas bar and Phillip T. K. is currently suspended and not eligible to practice. I feel so stupid and because this was so long ago I never remembered getting anything on this and this was already included in my BK. I'm so mad.

A very threatening collection call (Debt collector) reported by BJ
The caller from this number who left the voicemail used the name "Sean / Shawn / Shawn Davis" and he claimed that he is an Attorney who used very threatening rhetoric to provoke a call-back. Don't fall for it, folks - neither Google nor the Texas Bar Association thinks he is an Attorney. LOL!
