I was late paying a bill but Verizon never contacts me for a one time late payment so I new it was a scam and hung up.

Caller ID says Laviolette Gara, but it's Verizon Wireless (Robocall) reported by


I got a call and the caller ID identified it as Laviolette Gara, so I answered, assuming it was a wrong number. I assumed it was an auto garage. It was actually Verizon Wireless. When I answered, I said "hello" several times, but nobody responded. They called right back and I let it go to voicemail; this time they left a message saying it was Verizon. I have a payment arrangement with them and my next payment is scheduled for tomorrow morning, so yeah, I know my bill is overdue. They called me 5x in one hour. I Googled Laviolette Gara and it brought up Laviolette Garage Doors in Franklin, MA. How is it legal for Verizon to even do this - put their caller ID as some other random business???

It's not really Verizon. The real Verizon wouldn't be using another company's phone number. It's a scam.
