FAKE, SCAM, Don't answer or call back! (Scam call) reported by


I've received calls from this number multiple times a day for a few months now. They first started calling and in the voicemail the # they would tell me to call back is actually a number listed for Discover! So I called the # on the back of my Discover card, told them about the calls and that the scammer's are basically "ghosting" their legitimate 800 number.(ghosting is when scammer's make it look like they are calling from a local or specific number, but in fact are not calling from that number.) After Discover told me that they have no record of anyone from there calling me and there was nothing wrong with my account, I blocked the # I kept getting all the calls from, but now they've started calling from this #... Don't answer the call, don't return calls to them, they want to get all of your info! FYI, anyone who calls you from a credit card company about one of your accts WILL already know your account/card number(s), so NEVER give that info out to someone that says they work for the credit card company, they DON'T!

After receiving many calls from this number over the last week, I called Discover via the # on my actual Discover card. I knew I was not delinquent, etc, but I thought they might be checking for suspicious charges. There was no fraud alert, no issues that Discover could see, and they were NOT calling me. DO NOT CALL THE 800 NUMBER THIS CALLER MAY PROVIDE IN A VOICE MESSAGE, SINCE IT IS DEFINITELY A SCAM (they relayed an 800 number to call in voice mail). When I talked to Discover directly today (05/23/18) via the contact number on my Discover card, the CSR said they’ve had issues with scammers providing 800 numbers that look similar to the legitimate Discover phone numbers. Only call the number on your card to be absolutely sure you’re actually calling Discover. If you and no one in your household has a Discover card, well then you know it’s a scam. DO NOT ANSWER or give out ANY info to anyone on this number whether you have a Discover card or not - it IS a SCAM!

I keep receiving calls from this number and never picked up leave messages call immediately it's discover. So I called the number on my credit card to see what's wrong. They said they never called my payments are up to date not them. Don't answer. They want your full credit card number, etc. I told them never call again and gave them Discover's toll free number.
