A scam caller call and texted me. (Scam call) reported by


This scam caller 469-982-5001 called and left voicemail with 3 more numbers. My phone identifies and shows the number when it rung on my phone as 000-000-0000. Obviously they where trying to hide number that they were calling from.

Was a number from another country ,we use 1 in front of ours they had a + sign pluss more numbers than ours Left a message saying I can be charged if I do not contact them back on some criminal crap. And at the bottom of my voice-mail converted to text message has a 469 Texas number to call back and I can be connected to the department

It made it seem like it came from my number but it didn't. The issue I have is how did it know of a personal contact number to reach out to leave a message. This was the actual message utter nonsense! 1********** Deposited a new message: "Okay. Okay. Whatever. Okay, mm. Tell yourself. Thank you. I haven't. Right. 12 345 seven. Okay. You got the phone right? Uh huh. Okay. I don't know what's going on, but that was really nice to do. So I forgot to ask somebody because he was nice. I'm gonna try to. He was good. I was did he say that? Oh" Click here: 14699825007 to listen to full voice message. Notice it says deposited a new message big red flag. A text message needs not to say that ever when sent. my number actually showed up before this statement. But this message does not show sent from my phone weird but dangerous. All they need is for the wrong person to fall victim to their tactics. But the give away is their number at the end. Beware this is a text message scam that I've never witness or heard of until now. These scammers are getting more crafty with their scamming technology. Always contact the person to see if they sent a text message to you and let them verify what was said without telling the person what was actually said at first. This will prevent you from falling into fraud.

Frustrating

This same thing happened to me last night from the same number. I DID click the link to the phone number to listen to the vm. Of course, there was no vm. There was nothing so I hung up. Now I’m freaked out over what happens next.

The number that called was disguised as a local number from a local college. They left a voicemail saying my SSN had some illegal and fraud activities on it. I knew it was a scam. Called that number back and it was connected to a Grand Prairie TX number. It was a busy signal. I have blocked these numbers constantly. DO NOT ANSWER THIS CALL
