I received a call from a gentleman who stated I subscribed to Click Bank/Save Smart Shopping 14 months ago. He said there is a monthly fee of 29ish but the account they were deducting the payment from was denied but I have earned $3,000ish from shoppers who shopped on my website that I did not know I had. He said they were giving me 48 hours to pay the fees or they would send the money I earned to the Federal Government and send my bill to collections. When I asked why they do not take the fees out of the $3,000ish I earned he said they could not do that because I did setup the website. I guess me not setting up the website is preventing them and me from getting the money. But they could release the money from escrow if I paid the fees by cashiers check or money order. I also noticed the gentleman kept stumbling over his words. He gave me a phone number that belonged to there accounting department and told me they would be calling me. I told him they could call but I would not be home, but he still kept telling me to make sure I answered when they called. When I arrived back home no one had called. I also looked up the phone number he gave me and found out that it is a wireless phone. Although they had an old address it is creepy they knew it and my email address.

Click Bank Online Account (Scam call) reported by


Lady by the name of Cynthia called w/Direct Marketing Solutions. The purpose of her call today was in regards to an account I opened 14 months ago w/a company called Click Bank. Said the company gave me info about running an online business & provided me w/promotional videos & training. Said it looked like the acct was set to terminate today & she had great news. I had generated $2500 & needed to verify my city, state, & zip to verify she was speaking w/the correct person. Said I started w/a pkg of $47 worth of materials & I would be responsible to cover the monthly maint fee for the website hosting co & she maintains the website. Stated the card I provided @ the time & for the last 12 mos of pmts have been declined. Told it wasn't a problem & that the website I started had generated some income. Reminded me that it would be terminated today & she just wanted to give me a courtesy call to see if I wanted to save this acct before the earnings were sent back to the federal government. I told her I didn't know anything about it. She told me it had accumulated close to $280/month for the past 12 months & that I needed to bring the acct current by paying $359.40 then they would mail me a ck for $3,347.86 after the money was received. She gave me a website address that I would "need". Told me she would send me over to her acctg department so I could have an extension to pay the back fees. I reminded her that I didn't know anything about the co she spoke of & proceeded to tell me about "Click Bank" while constantly stumbling over her words. She gave me a website that I had "created" & it was very generic because I hadn't personalized it. Wanted to assign me someone to walk me through the process. Kept rambling then told me it wasn't me & it was someone else in my household. Some people get the opportunity & don't know they have it. Couldn't give me info & do my homework & call back. Total SCAM & SHADY!

Told me I earned money on some account I know nothing about, BUT, they needed back payments on the account, and a valid credit card number for future monthly payments. I hung up, and want this number blocked on my phone. What was troubling was that they had my email and my home address.

Click Bank Account (Scam call) reported by


Caller stated I signed up for a Click Bank account about a year ago. It has been generating money, about $3000 that will be turned over to the federal government unless I pay the past due balance of hosting fees and maintenance that has been building on the account. The only way to access the income is to pay the back dues. First she stated the company was EMS then when I said it was a scam she said the company is called DMS and I need to listen better. I promptly told her to send it to collections and hung up. Collect away...I never signed up for a click bank account so I owe you nothing. Keep the $3000 that doesn’t exist for your trouble worthless company.

Said 12 mos. ago I started a business with a click bank that earned over $3000 but the card I gave was denied so to collect my money and continue to earn I need to send $350 by cashier's check or money order. Only then can my money be released from escrow and not sent to the government. When I said I don't have the money I'm on disability, he hung up.
