Looking for Identify Theft Information (Debt collector) reported by


Number has called multiple times. First time I answered. Lady claimed to be a debt collector trying to collect a debt from a hospital service my daughter apparently received at Johns Hopkins in Maryland "a couple months ago" (she's never been there seen there and we've since we moved out of state early-early 2018). Lady asked me to confirm her social security number for "their files". When i asked the dates of the service she allegedly received, she said she could not confirm anything (including middle name, MY name (parent), services, dates of service) until I gave her the social security number. I said I would have to check into it with the hospital and she hung up. Seemed fishy to me. I believe it is spam looking for information.

Spoke about my car insurance payment SMH ok I played along, I heard the hesitation when I said hello. Said they can lower my rate, I said No you cant. Asked for zip code and insurance Company, I asked the clown how did he get my number and to remove it from their data base and do not call my number again and hung up. I blocked the number will probably get another call with another number. Scammers beware

They are a insurance scam. Most of the time they call and hang up (because they want a phone call back to prove they reached a person). Once they get you on the phone, they claim there was a issue with your car payment and try to retrieve your bank info. please don't fall for these companies. Always, always tell the caller you will contact your insurance agent directly. Never give anyone that just calls you and claims their from whatever company your information or your account info. Always do your research about numbers and companies before you ever take the conversation further. There is too many of these horrible, pathetic people out there trying to steal any way they can! Don't fall for it!! Always do your research, it will save your money and a bunch of headaches!!
