They asked for my wife by her maiden name that she doesn't use since we were married 8 years ago, and when I asked how the got my number they hung up.

When I answer, they hang up. When I call, the recording claims the agency is recording all calls, but no one ever answers the call. I've received 4 dozen calls from them. Never spoken to anyone.

A DT SECURITY (Telemarketer) reported by


Notice the name A[space]DT SECURITY. This probably to make you THINK it is ADT. This number has called me 5-8 times in the last 3 weeks. When I answer the caller hangs up. However, this last time a male with a foreign accent asked if this was [Last name] [First name]. I said "YES" and he hung up. I have heard of scams that get you to say "YES" then record your answer to use as an approval of some other request. There is no reason to call someone repeatedly for weeks and hang up. I highly suspect this number is not used for legitimate purposes. I have now blocked this number and will watch for signs of erroneous orders or billings.
