PHMG "Please Hold Media Group" Claim to work with local companies (Telemarketer) reported by


This company found our website online, used that to get our address and phone number, then claimed to be working with other businesses on our street. We checked with a few neighbours and learned that they in-fact do not work with PHMG. Maybe not a scam (could just be super cut-throat sales tactics), but we found one company that has actually paid for PHMG's "hold recording production" service over a year ago. Unfortunately, they are rather large and can not locate a single charge from PHMG or Please Hold Media Group in their billing system. We have a feeling that they are charging customers a monthly fee for "unlimited revisions" under a different name. Stay vigilant folks! It's common for cold callers to refuse to talk to anyone but the owner or president.

I'm getting REALLY sick of hearing his fast-talking voice trying to get through to the owner. I'm reception for a company that receives over 500 calls a day and this 'Bill Michaels' has a distinctive accent so I know it's him (no matter what tricks he has up his sleeve for the day) Sometimes he will call several times a day. I've asked him what the call is regarding and he claims to be in business dealings with the owner of our company and that "we've spoken a few months ago, he's asked me to give him a call back" which is not accurate. Please let me know if any of you find out what the "CHMG Foundation" is all about lol (or if it exists)

Called, someone with an accent asked for someone? I couldn't hear because my phone kept breaking up, I asked who he was calling for again and the phone broke up again so I apologized and said I am having issues with my phone and they just hung up.

The guy has Aussie accent. I asked him what the call was regarding. He would not tell me said he talked to the boss a while ago. I actually told him that he had not talked to the boss! I answer the phone! I hung up and he called back. Told me I was rude and asked for my name. I told him to have a great evening and hung up again. He called this morning, gave it to the boss and the guy asked 2 questions. He told him he didn't know what he was talking about. The guy hung up! Hopefully this is the last call!

Said his name was Reza. Had a British accent. Was looking for the owner by name but would not explain why he needed to speak to him. Claimed he had contact with him a couple months ago. Sounds like he was in a call centre - lots of voices in the background.
