Impersonating Anthem Rep (Scam call) reported by


Someone called impersonating an Anthem Rep. Their user ID says "Healthcare". I feel dumb because I gave them a bunch of personal information before I realized it was a scam. Like another person said they said they'd give me a $100 for completing a health screening to confirm my eligibility for Anthem.

I did the same, so you're not alone. I gave my birth year, and the name of my doctor, but got suspicious when the woman did not know the name of the town in which I lived. I honestly do not know if this is a scam, as I am insured by Anthem and I did receive a letter offering me a $100 Visa card for getting a yearly checkup, but $100 isn't enough to risk giving out all my personal info. Oh, and my user ID just gave the phone number - no "Healthcare" at all.
