"May I speak with Mr. XXXX?" They will not say why they want to speak with Mr. XXXX. Since Mr. XXXX no longer lives here and left a tremendous amount of debt, it's a debt collector.

They won't tell you why they are calling unless you " verify " all of your information because, " they already have it, and just need it confirmed!" Very thick middle eastern accent, and very rude.

they are debt collection agency trying to collect unpaid debts. they will not provide you info until and unless they do verification to make sure the person they are talking to is someone they are looking for. since there are many people with same name they ask to verify last four of ssn or date of birth or add for secondary verification. you dont have to provide them any personal info of yours if they dont have it. they will give it to you, all you have to confirm if you are same person or not

Asked for me by my maiden name, after I asked for the company name and the reason for the call, he kept saying personal business matter. I kept asking what matter, he kept asking to speak with me. After I clearly upset him, he asked can I speak to her or not, I said no & hung up.

Told me he was from a financial recovery center and INSISTED that I was someone whom I am not. INSISTED that the last 4 of my social were something they are not. When I told him he called a company phone and not to call again because there was no one here by that name, he said "I don't like people messing around with me!" I had to hang up on him.
