Used to be a (Debt collector) reported by 172.58.37.xxx
It looks like this used to be San Francisco based number if a dept. at Bank of America. As of around New Year 2020 the number is a debt collections department. I’m not clear if the caller is from within a banking institution or if the debt has been transferred to a collection agency. About half the time a human being leaves a voicemail stating they are from Bank of America Financial Services and given they cancelled my credit line with them the instant I paid my balance of > 5K off, I’m confident this is related. Being a credit line using customer of BofA since I was mistakenly issued a 20K limit credit card at the age of 12, my parents all to happy to let me keep it and learn a zero risk lesson in findvial management, and BofA none the wiser, I actually maintained my credit with them for the 35 years to follow. It was only last year I carried a balance of 15K that I rapid fire paid off over 6 months, all interest, fees, etc were paid in time. A still perfect credit score did not stop them from becoming embarrassed when trying to use my card at a gas station. Upon calling I’m told nothing other than to wait for a letter in the mail. Letter stated no more than I’m cut, no reason why, but make sure to keep paying and any auto pay, make sure to keep paying those as well or they will charge you because they can. All Thst made me mad which is why I think the call came from Bank of America financial services Debt Collections Dept. My credit score still has zero changes to it and I’m of the opinion it’s still internal BofA. I managed to charge up a few items through my business and other high charging items at the time before close, now I’m ejecting to not pay them right now. If they want to know why they can ask and I’ll mail them a letter explaining nothing. Almost 40 years never once late, average naive carded over 30 years apx 7500.00. They made some money off me for sure. **** them.
