I called back in regard to a fraud claim I heard someone laughing (Scam call) reported by


They called at my business # stating I have been reported for fraud on my income tax. I own a income tax preparation business so I called back out of curiosity I know the IRS doesn't make outbound calls for such matters. I could heard someone laughing in the background and disconnected the call. The# 414-306-8396 has been reported to the IRS. I encourage you to do the same.

After a few question, the man started laughing and drop the call. Then I called back as Mr Moore from IRS Fraud investigation and they dropped the call again.

Got a voicemail saying this was something having to do with me hiding money from the IRS, same as others. It's a scam.

Called the number back after missing the call and the line was answered by someone in a call center with a foreign accent. This man tried to tell me he represented the federal government and they were calling in regard to a pending lawsuit concerning my personal income tax. My reply was that the federal government only sends written notice of such things. He said that he was calling because I had ignored the written notices (I've received nothing at my residence or place of business from the IRS and have no issues with my taxes). He was VERY insistent that there was an issue. Before he could go any further about some form of payment I told him I'd see him in court. This is the second time I've received a call from this or a similar scam (previous time was about 9 months ago).
