Someone claimed to be from the "Police Department" asking for a donation.

I received a scam call from a VERY CONVINCING (<-- actually was) robotic voice (at least I think it was) that responded to my words and claimed to represent my "Local Police Department." The "individual" wanted me to donate one hundred dollars. After I politely declined they said "thank you" and hung up. When I called them back there was an answering machine that had a woman with a slight accent (not the traditional Milwaukee accent) that did't state the name of the organization, nor their normal call hours. There was a way to get on their do not call list at the end of the message. The largest inclination that led me to think that this call was from a robot was the two seconds it took for the "individual" to start speaking after I had stopped.
