A woman with a raspy voice called and said she was with the International Refugee Committee and they needed more funds, specifically monthly. I was suspicious because she was super vague (she'd say vague things like "all the stuff with Syria, y'know"). Most likely a scammer.

Wasn’t sure if call was from legit charitable org. could have been Multiple Sclerosis Foundation or Memorial Sloan Kettering. Or more than likely a scam claiming to be a charity but not one. Someone who wants your credit card info as if you are donating to a charity but really they just want to steal your credit card info Do not donate on the phone with a credit card.

Person on the other end claimed to be working for Doctors without boarders. She asked for monthly donations of $30. I told her I would have to do it later and on the website since I was busy right now. She seemed to get a bit upset and said she was really hoping that I could do it now over the phone. The call ended pretty quickly once she realized I wasn’t going to give my donation over the phone.
