Called they were calling on behalf of Duquesne Light. Lies. (Scam call) reported by


She asks for accounts payable or the office manager. Tells me that she is calling on behalf of Duquesne Light and that they have sent us notices that we have failed FAILED to respond to so she is giving me another chance to take advantage of ...... This is when I went off on her, delicately because I was surrounded by customers. She then continued to call over and over and over until I turned off the ringer and programmed the block for the number. This cannot be legal to scam a business and then continue to harass them.

Ask to speak to John. I advised John was not in can someone else help you. Woman on phone got very aggressive stating can only talk to John about Duquesne Light bill. Again advised John not in - woman very ignorantly stated she would be calling back. Funny - asking for John wont help, he isn't in charge of paying the bills.

Called 3/7/18. Asked for "Sandra" and there are no Sandras here. Demanded to speak to a manager about the Duquesne Light bill. After being told no, she remained insistent so I killed the call by sending it to a dead mailbox.

Caller says he's from Duquesne Light, but needs my account information to apply a "rebate" to my account. When I asked him to just mail the information. He turned aggressive and asked for my title. When I refused to give any info and hung up, he called back again with more aggressive tones. I hung up again. He called the third time, but I did not answer this time.

Asked for the treasurer where I work. When I said this is my personal number, she would not take no for an answer and insisted my number was connected to a Wet Penn Electric account. Disagreed with me that this was my private number.

Duquesne Light Rebate (Scam call) reported by


Scam caller claimed to be from Duquesne Light and wanted to discuss a rebate. I told him he was a scam artist. He said "No get your bill and I will explain your rebate." Since I am a business owner renting space, who's electric is included in the rent and paid by a management company, I had him. There is no electric bill connected with this business.
