This caller asked to speak with the head of household to which I replied, “this is, who’s calling?”. Then after a long pause he asked again to speak with the head of household. I got ****, I don’t have time for this crap, either you speak to me or pound salt. I said, “apparently you won’t speak to me so we’re done.” Then I just hung up. Have no idea what the purpose of the call was about....didn’t get that far.

Paul Jackson (Non-profit Organization) reported by


He called to ask me to raise money for his non-profit organization for policemen. He introduced himself as Paul Jackson. He did not ask my name nor verify my address during the entire duration of the call. He said that he'd like to mail out a packet, and then proceeded to ask me what level of sponsorship I wanted to provide. He started at $450 for gold level, and worked his way down to a bronze level donation of $50. When I reiterated that I'd prefer not to commit to a level of sponsorship without reading the pamphlet, he asked if I could commit to at least $15 over the phone. I said that I'd have to read the pamphlet with information before I made that decision, to which he said goodbye without even getting my address.
