Seems like they are using public information to appear credible. Called claiming I was selected for a special Honors Vacation to Orlando. And made reference to my location, assuming based on Caller ID. Blocked the number. Not sure if there were a breach in Hiltons list of Honors members or what!

Spoke to a lady who knew my name and the fact that I am a Hilton's program participant. She offered me a free trip to Las Vegas, she was emotionally very invested in this trip as she was more excited than I was. I asked to call her back on a verified number or for her to e-mail me, she said both were impossible. She was trying to put pressure on me to entertain the "FREE HOLIDAY!!!111" at which point I hung up.

"Hilton" had my name and address and wanted me to book an offer with them. I did stay at the Hilton in Mexico 2 weeks ago so not sure if this was a hoax or Hilton marketing. I would never book anything like that unless I make sure it's the real company. Asked them to email me and said "if I could email you I wouldn't have my job" :S So I insisted I wasn't going to spend money today and they hung up in my face
